Umbrella underlying

An umbrella policy provides coverage on top of one or more underlying policies. These policies can be explicitly named in the umbrella policy, or alternatively the policy describes the criteria for an underlying policy to be included e.g. the named insureds have auto coverage with bodily injury limits exceeding some amount.
